Who are we?

The entire project revolves around the orphanage, where 230 children and babies are now cared for. Geographically, the orphanage is located in Zalom about 30 km southeast of Yaoundé. A school, a Guesthouse and fishing ponds are also located on the same site.

Purchasing food is a major expense. We try to minimize this with the supply of vegetables from our agricultural project and proteins from the fish ponds (150 to 200 kg of fish catch monthly).

The kitchen currently still runs on wood fire. We are looking for a sustainable solution for the future. However, electricity supply is not guaranteed in Zalom today.

Health and hygiene are also focus points. The orphanage is immaculately maintained. The children are taught, among other things, the importance of good hand hygiene before eating.

In 2023, a sanitary block was installed with 20 showers and toilets with a separation for girls and boys.
